Show News Briefs Laird Hartman was taken to the Roosevelt Hospital Wednesday Wednes-day with the flu where he remained re-mained overnight. Mrs. Jennie Reynolds was admitted ad-mitted to the Roosevelt Hospital Tuesday where she remained to receive treatment for an injured back. The injury was the result of a fall she had suffered a few days ago. , IRatiricia Swasey fell from a swing in her yard and fractured her left pelvic bone. She spent four days at the Roosevelt Hospital Hos-pital and is now convalescing at her home in Boneta. Homer Corbin, grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Lindon Farnsworth, is is St. Marks Hospital in Salt Lake City receiving treatment for polio. Homer was stricken while attending attend-ing a speech clinic there. The diease was at first diagnosed as home sickness and treatment was not begun until several days after he had taken sick. Mrs. Jesse Palm sprained her ankle while on the way to assist with the polio Clinic held in Altamont Firday 13. Dr. String-ham String-ham and his aides vacinated children chil-dren of all ages at the Elementary Element-ary school for about two hours. The Altamont Farmers defeated Myton on the diamond in Altamont Alta-mont Sunday. Dorothy Farnsworth and Helen Palm of Altonah went to Duchesne Du-chesne July 11 and each gave a pint of blood to the Red Cross, the unit collected a total of 22 pints- When the next donation of blood is asked, it is hoped that the quota of 25 pints for this upper area will be met. . They have been spend-the spend-the last .few days visiting relatives and friends. Sunday evening Mr. and Mrs. Kolb left for a week's trip to New Mexico where Ty will look over job possibities in Albuquesque and White Sands. He has just completed an electronics course in San Francisco. Mrs. Jewell Kolb will accmapany them on their trip. Mr, and Mrs. Jewell Kolb have moved the last load of furntiure to Salt Lake City. Mrs. Kolb will return to Altamont to pick up her children who are staying with friends while she is in New Mexico. Mex-ico. ' Mr. i and Mrs. Doyle Swallow and her mother Mrs. LeVeda Bond of Heber, visited Saturday and made a fishing trip to Moon Lake. Mr. Al Taylor accompanied Mr. Swallow fishing. Mr, and Mrs. Ver Dastrup of Roy spent the weekend with relatives re-latives and friends. Grant Mohlman, George Chapman. Chap-man. Blake Rust and Dave Hisiop camped three days in the Five Point Lakes area fishing. The boys reported perfect weather for the trip and brought out a fine catch of native trout. |
