Show . y. A A A ..! Church News The Canning and Freezing demonstration de-monstration at the Mt. mmons ward chapel was attended by about 50 women from the various surrounding communites. The Demonstration De-monstration Agents from Du-and Du-and Roosevelt were in attendance and annuonced that July 16 they would check pressure cookers at the ward, kitchen. Tuesday night Mutual was devoted de-voted to a swimming party at Lake Boren that was very successful. suc-cessful. Watermelon and hot dogs were enjoyed on the church lawn after the swim. Gale Gilbert of Duchesne stake who is a returned missionary spoke at Sacrament meeting Sunday Sun-day evening, Curtis Dastrup accompanied ac-companied his sister, Carol, who sang, "Teach Me to Pray." Mr. and Mrs. W. K. Kerksiek Doth addressed the meeting for a few minutes in closing. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Crozier of Neola spent the day with Mr. and Mrs. Edward Crosby. Other Sunday Sun-day callers were Mr. and Mrs. Kerksiek and boys, Sheila Mitchell Mit-chell and LeAnn of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Walter K. Kerksiek Kerk-siek with their boys, Sam, John and Mark, stopped Saturday night and Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. Earl Case to renew old acquaintances and visit the Mt. Emmons ward and the Moon Lake stake. Mrs, Kerksiek is a former Bishop of Mt. Emmons ward and a teacher of the Altamont Alta-mont Seminary from its first organization or-ganization until 1944 when he was transferred to Beaver, where he is still teaching seminary. They operate a 165 acre farm there and, raise cattle. He is also a member of the Bishopric. |
