Show Gardening program set by USU Extension for low income gardeners A "Gardening for Nutrition" program is being offered again this spring at the USU Extension Service Ser-vice Horticultural Farm in Farm-ington. Farm-ington. This service is geared toward to-ward low income needs. If you are interested in cutting your food budget and providing more nutritional meals for your family you will want to attend this class. There will be three two hour classes from 10 a.m. to noon, March 31, April 14 and May 12. The class material will cover planting and starting seeds, transplanting, trans-planting, out planting, summer care and small area gardening. It will include use of garden space for economic efficiency, appropriate garden plants for economic and nutritional value, preparing the garden plot, when to fertilize, what insecticides to use, when to harvest har-vest to get quality food and therapeutic ther-apeutic benefits from gardening. An additional film will be added to the program this year during the : last class which will stress small area gardening and weed control, The seeds you plant and transplant trans-plant at the classes will be given out at the end of the program to those who meet the guidelines.
