Show C. D. "Lefty" Leffler CLEARFIELD Clarence David "Lefty" Leffler, 62, of 186 S. Lakeview Drive, died Friday, Feb. 26, 1988 in Salt Lake City of a heart attack. He was born Sept. 5, 1925 in Windsor, 111., a son of William Parmer Par-mer and Bessie Kemp Leffler. He married Barbara Nelson Sept. 7, 1951 in Ogden. He retired from Mountain Bell in 1985 after 33 years of service. He was reared in Illinois and had lived there until moving to Ogden in 1951. He moved to Clearfield in 1960 where he resided until his death. He attended schools in Decatur, 111. He was a member of the Clearfield Clear-field 7th LDS Ward where he served as a priest. He has been a member of the American Legion Post 134 in Clearfield and Post 139 in Roy! He was a member of the CWA Union. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the 101st Airborne Division in Germany. He had received re-ceived the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. Surviving are his widow of Clearfield, two sons and two daughters, Dave Leffler, Layton; Michael Leffler, Clearfield; Vickie Leffler and Sandy Leffler, both o Salt Lake City and three grandchil v dren. Also surviving are one brother and one half brother, Robert Glen Leffler and Charles Weeks, both of Decatur, 111. He was preceded in death by two brothers. Funeral directors, Lindquist's Clearfield Mortuary. Interment was in the Clearfield City Cemetery, where military honors were accorded by the American Legion Honor Guard. Bishop Roy Glazier officiated at funeral services March 3. Family prayer was offered by Dave Leffler; prelude, Marion Horton; invocation, Don Bingham; Bing-ham; remarks, Bishop Roy Glazier; Gla-zier; "They Don't Make Em Like My Daddy Anymore" by Kent and Diane Smith; speakers, Gene Fes-sler Fes-sler and Clifford LeFever; "O My Father" by Irleen Eddington accompanied by Mike Eddington; benediction, Clint Zollinger. Dedication of the grave was by Mike Leffler. Pallbearers were Ken Burker, Ralph Bonn, Willard Haugen, Joe May, David Brian Leffler and Art Olivas. |
