Show Go To Logan Miss Deanne Asay, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Seth Asay, and Miss Marion Gardner, daughter of Delmar Gardner, of Alterra, were among the girls chosen from Union High School to attend at-tend Girls' State, to be held at Logan this week. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Shurnway, of Price, were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Russel Todd last week. Mrs. Shurnway is a sister of Mrs. Todd. . Mrs. Elsie Secrist and son, Arthur, of Moab, visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elton Kettle one day last week. Mr. and Mrs. Von Haslem have started the construction of a new home, where their other home burned down a few weeks ago. Miss Dianne Hullinger, who has been attending the USAC at Logan, returned home with her mother and sisters this past week. Mr. and Mrs. Junior Betts and family motored to Salt Lake City, where Mrs. Betts and family fam-ily remained at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dewey McConkie. Paul Reyos, of Alterra, made a trip to Albuquerque, New Mexico last week. Quite a group of women met at the chapel Thursday and Friday, Fri-day, where they were instructed instruct-ed on redoing old pieces of furniture. fur-niture. The class was conducted by Rhea Gardner, of the USAC at Logan and Mrs. Eller, new home demonstration agent of Uintah County. Those who attended at-tended found it very worth while. Mrs. Eff ie Winn is confined to her home because of a bad knee. The Sunday evening service was conducted by the Sunday School officers. A program was presented by members of the Sunday School.
