Show Arriving to add much joy to the Russell Robison home is their new son, who made entrance en-trance into the world June 1, weighing 8 lbs. The little one hasn't received a name yet, but was anxiously greeted by his three sisters and one brother. Congratulations to all concerned. con-cerned. Mr. and Mrs. Presley Timothy are on their way to' Seattle, Washington for a week's visit with their son, Wayne. . Mr. and Mrs. Grant Jones, of Richfield, were visitors' at the home of Mrs. Jones' sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Lyman over the Memorial Day weekend. Mrs. Lyman and children chil-dren returned to Richfield for a week's visit with the Jones family and also with another sister, Mrs. Kay Alexander. Mr. Lyman went to Richfield Saturday Sat-urday night and returned to Roosevelt with his family Monday. Mon-day. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Turner, children, JoAnn and John Michael, and Mrs. Turner's mother, Mrs. Josephine Man-nouch, Man-nouch, from England, spent 12 days vacationing at various points of interest in the Southwest. South-west. They spent some time in Zion's National Park, Las Vegas, Veg-as, Boulder Dam, Los Angeles, through Redwood Forest to San Francisco. From there they journeyed to' Reno and back to Salt Lake City, where they spent a few days sight-seeing before returning to Roosevelt. Ernan Y. Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Smith, returned home from Fort Stoneman, Cal. two' weeks ago. Ernan has been with the 443rd Quartermaster Division of the U. S. Army for two years, spending 17 months of that time in Wonju, Korea. He arrived in the States on May 19th. Verleen Smith daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Smith, will be released from the North Central States Mission this Saturday. Sat-urday. She has served 18 months as a misisonary representing repre-senting the Roosevelt 2nd ward. Her last field of labor was at Jolite, 111. with mission headquarters head-quarters at Chicago. Verleen is expected home around the 15th of June. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Rowley Row-ley and daughter, Phyllis, spent the weekend at Preston, Idaho, where they visited their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Rovvley and baby son, Irvin Paul. Surprising the family was Eddie Rowley, who arrived at Preston after receiving- a week furlough. He returned to Roosevelt Roose-velt with his parents, scheduled to' report Monday to San Jose, where he is stationed. I Dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Anthon Christen-sen Christen-sen Monday were Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Petersen and Mr. and Mrs. Theron Leavitt. Norman Hanson left June 4 for a visit in Long Beach, Calif, where his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Robertson, Robert-son, reside. Miss Joyce Jordan, accompanied accompan-ied by a friend, arrived this week from the University of Utah, where both have been attending at-tending school. Joyce plans to go to Sun Valley to attend a wedding of a friend and 'will then attend summer school at the University. Mrs. Tom Halen went to Salt Lake City last Friday for medical med-ical treatment, also to visit her granddaughter, Mrs. Fletcher Learning, who is in a hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Taylor, of Leeton, were shopping in Roosevelt Roos-evelt last Saturday. Salt Lake City visitors Sunday Sun-day were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Huish. Mr. and Mrs. David Wilson and baby daughter are here visiting vis-iting at the Seth Wilson home. David plans to enroll for summer sum-mer school at the BYU. Mr. and Mrs. Mark McGuire and family, of Dugway, visited relatives, Mr. and Mrs. Theo Phillips, recently. Mrs. McGuire is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phillips. |
