Show New Couri house Dedication Program Set For Neirt Monday Civic, Political, Religious Leaders Of State Invited To Attend Dedication rites for the courthouse building at Duchesne Du-chesne will be conducted Monday, June 14. Activities of the dedication begins with open house from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Monday. The evening ceremonies cere-monies start at 7:00 o'clock with a flag-raising ceremony and a band concert. The main program is scheduled at 8:00, according to G. B. Workman,. county assessor, who is chairman of the dedication committee. Porter L. Merrell, county clerk, is co-chairman of the dedication ded-ication committee. Other committee com-mittee members are Clinton J. Mickelson, county commissioner; Otto E. Johnsen, mayor of Duchesne Du-chesne City; Dean C. Christen-sen, Christen-sen, school district superintendent; superinten-dent; and Cliff Memmott, editor of the Uintah Basin Record and Roosevelt Standard, county publications. pub-lications. - Guest speakers will be Sel-voy Sel-voy Boyer, a member of the Utah State Tax Commission; Ray E. Dillman, Roosevelt, first county attorney for Duchesne Ccimty; Judge William Stanley Dunford, Provo, one of the judges of the Fourth Judicial District Court. Other speakers will include architects, builders and county officials. The dedicatory prayer will be said by Representative Wm. N. Brotherson, of Boneta, who is president of the Moon Lake LDS stake Platform guests will include Gov. J. Bracken Lee or nis representative; mayors of all cities and towns in the county; former county commissioners, political and religious leaders of the county and school board members. Refreshments are being prepared pre-pared for some 1,000 guests by ence Poulson, committee heads. Dorothea W. Some 500-600 programs have been prepared for distribution by mail and at the services. |
