Show Impressive Home Rites Unite Young Couple At a lovely home wedding on Sunday evening, Oct. 4, Shirley Sullivan became the bride of William C. Stroup, Jr. in- an impressive double ring ceremony cere-mony performed by Hollis G. Hullinger, president of the Roosevelt LDS stake. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Angus, Roosevelt, and the groom is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Stroup. of Dallas, Texas. The couple stood before the fireplace banked with baskets of blue and white gladioli and petal pink asters. Relatives and close friends were in attendance. For the ceremony, the bride was charming in a ballerina length gown of blue taffeta and carried a bow-shaped bouquet of white carnations and pink roses. Her maid of honor, Miss Nancy Todd, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Todd, of Myton, wore a pink taffeta ballerinta dress. She carried a dainty nosegay of pink and white flowers. Best man duties were assumed by Cecil Mitchell, uncle of the bride. Mother of the bride wore a gold wool afternoon dress with brown accessories, and grandmother grand-mother of the bride, Mrs. Mary E. Freston, was attired in a black crepe dress. Both had corsages of white carnations and pink roses. Wedding refreshments were served to the bridal group following fol-lowing the ceremony. The three-tiered three-tiered white wedding cake was beautifully decorated with bluebirds blue-birds and topped with silver bells and leaves. Pink tapers in crystal holders completed the setting. For her going-away outfit the bride chose a charcoal suit with black accessories. Destination for the newlyweds' honeymoon trip was touring the Southern states, including Florida, Georgia Geor-gia and Texas. |
