Show Pass Swimming Tests At Midway Under the leadership of Scoutmasters Scout-masters Freeman Dye and Clair Duncan, the following boys motored mo-tored to Heber last Saturday, where they passed their swimming swim-ming test at the Midway Hot Pots: Ken Bastian, Claude Crozier, Croz-ier, Allen Wardle, Gerald Dye, Glendon Malnar, Sharon Pace'. Keith Davis, Bill Dye, Ardell Olsen, Ronald Mitchell and Norman Dye. Mr. and Mrs. Elro'y Halver-son Halver-son left last Saturday for Salt Lake City, where they will visit vis-it with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Peterson. Pet-erson. The foursome expect to leave early next week for a trip through Washington arid Oregon. Miss Mavie Dye, who was recently re-cently elected president of the FHA at the Roosevelt Junior-High, Junior-High, attended a meeting of state leaders at Logan last weekend. She was accompanied by Mrs. Helen Buxton. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Davis and two daughters spent the weekend in Salt Lake City, where they attended the wedding wed-ding of Wayne Davis and Joyce Todd. Another son, Lloyd, motored mo-tored from California for the occasion. SURPRISE TEACHER Honoring their new teacher, Mrs. Dorothy Luck, members of the Mia Maids class held a surprise sur-prise party at the home of Jennie Jen-nie Lee Hacking last Friday evening. After games and refreshments re-freshments were enjoyed at the Hacking home, the group went roller skating at the Vella Recreation Rec-reation Center. Participating in the fun were: Edna Mitchell, Gay Clo'ward, Mona AUred, Arake Horrocks, Charlotte Henrie, Hen-rie, the hostess and the guest of honor. Mr. and Mrs. James O. Peterson Peter-son have been visiting in Salt Lake City the past few weeks. While there they attended the State Fair and fonference during dur-ing the past weekend.
