Show Eighteen Local Girls Elave Entered Contest Eighteen of Roosevelt's most talented and attractive girls have entered the preliminary contest being held in Roosevelt prior to the Miss Duchesne County contest. According to Mrs. Cliff Mem-mott, Mem-mott, county chairman, each community is at liberty to select se-lect its candidates any way it SXSSSSBXSS' desires, and one or more entrants en-trants from each town will be eligible. In Rooseyelt, the preliminary contest is scheduled to be held Friday, August 3, at 2:00 p, m, at the Roosevelt theatre, with everyone over 12 years of age invited to attend, at which time each contestant will display her talents and be judged 0n personality, per-sonality, poise, talent and character. char-acter. Winners in this preliminary contest will be qualified to vie for the county contest, and the county winner will go to Salt Lake City to compete for the Miss Utah contest. Girls entering from Roosevelt include: Joyce Jordan, Joan La-brum, La-brum, Shar Lynn Larsen, Audrey Aud-rey Hall, Ranae Labrum, Peggy Oldroyd, Yvonne Fretwell, Joyce Burr, Inez Houtz, Lorraine Anderson.
