Show Road Is Oiled A dream of many years came true for the people of the upper country last week with the oiling oil-ing of the ten-mile strip of state road from the Rovoli hill to the Altonah corner. This road has been under construction for the past ten months by the L. A. Young Construction Co. Mr. and Mrs. Marlin Lott and children, of Roosevelt were guests, Sunday, of Mrs. Lott's parents, Mr. an.t Mrs. Edgar Miles. Lynn Farnsworth was taken to a Salt Lake hospital Tuesday of last week. He is receiving treatment in preparation for a major operation. Morris Monson took his father, fath-er, Orson Monson, to Salt Lake last week for medical attention. Mr. Monson submitted to an operation op-eration at the L.D S. hospital a month ago, but his condition is not much improved. Dick Orr, employed in Salt Lake, spent the past week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie J. Orr. On Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Orr took him back to his work. They stayed over for a short visit with their daughters, Mrs. Norma Case and Mrs. Colleen Nielsen. Gwendolyn Chapman has returned re-turned from a month's stay in Malad, Idaho. While visiting there with her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Jones, they took her on a trip to Yellowstone Yellow-stone National Park and other points of interest. Mrs. Kelly S p r o u s e and daughter, Susan, of Roosevelt, spent the week with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Case. Lawrence Ward, a former resident resi-dent of Mt. Emmons, now living at Draper, was here Saturday to look after his property. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Dastrup and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Crase, of Ogden, arrived Sunday Sun-day for a week's visit with relatives rel-atives and to do some fishing:. The Dastrups are pioneer settlers set-tlers of this community. Mrs. Dastrup and Mrs. Crase are sisters. sis-ters. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Hislop and boys and Mr. and Mrs. George Berrett and children returned re-turned home Sunday evening after af-ter a three-day fishing trip to Chain Lakes. Speakers at Sacrament meeting, meet-ing, Sunday, were E. L. Murphy, JoAnn Starkey, Naomi Potts, Wanda Mitchell, LeJean Rees, and Georgia Durfey, all of Upalco. Upal-co.
