Show Entertain For Baptist Officials Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Coston entertained at dinner July 11 for Rev. Wm. J. Trow and family, fam-ily, of the Roosevelt Baptist i church, and Rev. Julian At-wood, At-wood, of Texarkana, Texas, who has been the guest speaker during dur-ing the recent revival services. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Jones and four children, of Gilford, Conn., and Mr. and Mrs. Reed Johnson, of Logan,- were guests recently at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. David Lundberg and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Winn. The monthly Relief Society meeting was held Tuesday, July 10, with Mrs. Marvin Kettle giving giv-ing the teacher's topic. The remainder re-mainder of the time was spent in song practice. Lynn Bracken and Darrel Mc-Mullin Mc-Mullin went to Provo Saturday with Verle Haslem, of Bennett, on a combined ' business and pleasure trip. Earl Gardner made a -trip to Salt Lake City on Friday on official business for the Indian Service. Mrs. Ernest Betts and Mrs. Ole Rasmussen entertained a group of neighbors at the home of Mrs.- Betts in honor of Sanford San-ford Butcher, before he left to return to his army base. Mr. and Mrs. Geo'. Bracken and Mrs. E. C. Coston motored to Big Park in Uinta canyon to join a group of the non-teacher non-teacher employees of the Uinta county schools in an afternoon of fun and frolic. Delicious refreshments re-freshments were served to all. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Worn-ack Worn-ack and family, of Ogden, and Mr. and Mrs. Reed McClellan and daughter, of Roul. Illinois, nave been visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Womack. Mrs. Osa Hullinger. Mrs. Fan-me Fan-me Todd, Mrs. Evelyn Brighton, Mrs. Ruth Saari went to Ashley on Wednesday to attend a quilting- party at the home of Mrs Niles Haslem. Eric Stolla, who has been stationed at Clearfield for some time, came last Thursday to get his small daughter, Phyllis, who has been visiting with her grandmother, Mrs. Erna Stolla. Eric was scheduled to leave immediately im-mediately on the Destroyer Lyman Ly-man K. Swenson for duties in Korean waters. Mrs. Stolla and their two small children will make their home with relatives in Reno, Nevada, during Eric's absence. Arvin Bellon and Keith Todd supervised a group of Boy ?uts on a fishin trip to the Whiterocks lake area from Monday Mon-day until Saturday. Enjoying the fun were Lynn White. Norman Nor-man Rasmussen, Norman ' Man-Kum, Man-Kum, Jay Gates, Roger Larsen and Arlin Bellon. Mrs. Pearl Jenkins entertained entertain-ed a group of ladies at a quilting quilt-ing party Wednesday. Mrs. Heber Kimball and their three children, of Salt Lake Lity, visited friends in Alterra Saturday. Mr. Kimball was a teacher at Alterra high school several years ago, and his family fam-ily made their home here that year. |
