Show Residents Urged To View City Rose Garden Plot If you haven't taken time to visit the local Rose Garden, you have really missed something. According to Mrs. Clair Ash-ton, Ash-ton, president of the Roosevelt Garden club, the roses are doing do-ing beautifully, with practically every bed a mass of bloom. She stated that only two bushes out of the 250 planted had failed to mature, and that they would be replaced. The markers, signifying sig-nifying the rose species and the donor, are now placed in the garden. The park caretaker waters the garden plot and a few women wom-en of the Garden Club have been responsible for weeding and spraying it. Everyone is invited to view the beauty spot of the city, and any club, group or individual desirous of purchasing a rose bed, is asked to contact Mrs. Ashton or other club officers. There is still room for 300 more roses in the garden, and people wishing to purchase plots are urged to contact the club officers of-ficers as soon as possible to assure as-sure early ordering of the choice roses. |
