Show To Wed Soon Mr. and Mrs. Glen Davis announce an-nounce the approaching marriage mar-riage of their daughter, Myrth, to Scott Nickell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Nickell, of Roosevelt. Roose-velt. The bride-to-be is a student stu-dent at Union High School. Mr. Nickell was a graduate from the Union High School, class of '52. Both young people are well-known throughout the Basin. Ba-sin. JOIN IN FESTIVAL Neola was well represented at the M.I.A. Speech Festival, which was held in Roosevelt last Tuesday evening. The Mia Maids and their teacher sang a song as this ward's contribution. Those participating were, Con-hie Con-hie Bastian, Mona Allred, Jennie Jen-nie Lee Hacking, Mavie Dye, Alene Peterson, Gay Cloward, Charlotte Henrie and Dorothy Luck. Mrs. Lillian Wilkerson was the accompanist. Mrs. Ned Shoell returned to her home in Orem last Tuesday Tues-day after spending a few days at the home of her sister, Mrs. Jack Leavitt. Their mother, Mrs. Ada Hutcheon, of Salt Lake City, also returned to her home the same day, after spending spend-ing the weekend here with relatives. rel-atives. Mrs. Darlene Clegg, of Mission Mis-sion Valley, Calif., arrived last Friday for a few days' visit with friends and relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Jensen motored to Salt Lake City last Thursday. They reported that the fog-bound valley was indeed in-deed an unwelcome change from the spring-like weather of the Uintah Basin, and were glad to return home the following day. ATTEND BANQUET The following people from Neola attended the Farmers Coop Co-op banquet which was held at the Frontier Grill last Thursday Thurs-day evening: Mr. and Mrs. El-roy El-roy Halverson, Mr. and Mrs. Don Horrocks and Tal Wardle. Bernetta Duncan and Mollie Spencer attended a meeting for hot lunch workers which was held at the Union High School last Tuesday afternoon. Ann Peterson and Shirley Cloward spent a few days in Salt Lake City the past week. |
