Show Sings In Messiah Allen Gines, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ned L. Gines, who is living in Salt Lake City this winter, attending at-tending school, sang. with the Messiah Mes-siah Choir in the LDS Tabernacle Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Alden White took care of the small family of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Betts two days last week, while the parents were in Salt I Lake City. Eva and Essie Sprouse were out from Salt Lake City to spend Christmas with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Sprouse. The baby girl of Mr. and Mrs. Junior Jenkins was blessed and given the name of Patricia Ann, and the baby boy of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Arrouchis was given the name of Franklin Johnny, in church, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Russel Todd were visitors in the Avalon ward on Sunday. A FINE PROGRAM The testimonial held for Lynn White on Sunday evening, Dec. 26, was outstanding and a good crowd was in attendance. Lynn entered the mission home Jan. 5 and will soon leave for his mission mis-sion in Brazil. Mrs. Florence Brown, of Vernal, Ver-nal, was a caller at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Von Haslem, one day last week. Spencer Squire and Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Squire motored to Springville New Year's Day to enjoy a Squire reunion at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Ewell. Mrs. Pearl Jenkins, of Roosevelt, Roose-velt, attended Sunday School and Fast meeting at Ballard on Sunday and to be there for the blessing of her 34th grandchild, the small daughter" of Mr. and Mrs. Junior Jenkins The junior Gleaner girls, with their leader. Mrs. Ruth SDrouse. spent one evening last week with JoAnn Angus at her home. Santa Claus paid them a visit and refreshments re-freshments were served. They all enjoyed the evening very much. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bingham returned to Salt Lake City, after visiting their family here some time. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Bartlett were leaving early this week for Illinois, where Clyde is stationed with the armed forces. Mrs. Bartlett Bart-lett plans to remain with her husband hus-band for some time Students home from college returned re-turned to resume their studies. Dianne Hulliner and Perry Bingham Bing-ham to the A. C. and Norman Rasmussen and Gary Gardner to the B.Y.U. Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Halverson were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Bingham one day last week. School work was resumed at Alterra on Monday |
