Show Gold And Green Ball A Success The Ballard Gold and Green Ball was held at Victory Park on Saturday evening. A large crowd was in attendance and pronounced it a success. From the sale of refreshments, most of the expenses of the dance we're met. Dennis, the young son of Mr. and Mrs. Elton Kettle, has been confined to his bed with a bad case of flu the past week. Mrs. May Jenkins and Mrs. Eunice Cook have been asked to act as teachers in the Primary. Pri-mary. Mrs. Evelyn Brighton presented present-ed the Theology lesson at Relief Society on Tuesday. Sunday School Faculty meet- ing was held at the home of Mrs. Vida Betts, Wednesday evening, Jan. 7, with ten officers and teachers present. After plans were made for a party and discussions given, Mrs. Betts served delicious refreshments. Max Todd, Glen Womack and Lynn Bracken, from the B.Y.U.; Howard Todd and Norman Angus, An-gus, from the A.C. spent the weekend at home and attended the Gold and Green Ball. Primary officers and teachers attended the monthly preparation prepara-tion meeting at the chapel, Jan. 8. After the lesson vas given, light refreshments were served. Mr, and Mrs. Joe Norton made a trip to Salt Lake City, last week. Leonard and O. Dean Betts, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Betts, left for California during the past week. , Miss Jeanette Todd, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francis S. Todd, of Salt Lake City, was a weekend week-end guest of her cousin, Joanne Todd. Jeanette is a student at the B.Y.U. Mrs. Alden White had the misfortune to fall from the truck last Thursday and received re-ceived a serious injury to her hip. She is now on crutches. . Mrs. Fred Cook entertained a group of friends at her home Saturday afternoon in honor of her son, Max's sixth , birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Brady, of Salt Lake City, were holiday visitors at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Larsen. Mrs. Julia Kettle was moved to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Max Gardner, in Roosevelt on Wednesday, Jan. 7. Mrs Elsie El-sie Secrest will also remain at the- Gardner home. Mrs. Virgie Page, Mrs. Erna Stolla and Orlan Cook have been asked to work in the Sunday Sun-day School as teachers. Mr. and Mrs. Wilmar Parrish and sons made a trip last week to Whiterocks to visit with Mrs. Parrish's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Smith. |
