Show Indian Canyon Snow Pack Is Below Normal - Snow measurement taken on Dec. 30, 1952 in Indian Canyon, show that the snow pack and water content are somewhat below be-low the average for the past 16 years, according to Merlin I. Bishop, forest ranger in charge of the Duchesne Ranger District, Uinta National Forest. At an elevation of 9100 feet in the head of Indian Canyon, the average snow depth is 13.9 inches as compared with 45.4 inches at this time last year and 23 inches for the 16 year average. aver-age. The average water content is 3.22 inches as compared with 11.1 inches last year and 4.36 inches for the 16 year average. |
