Show Five Life, Eight Star Scout Badges Presented Highlight of the September 30 Court of Honor of the Duchesne Scout District held at Tabiona was the presentation of five Life scout and eight Star badges, reports C. C. Mickelson, district advancement advance-ment chairman. Larry Wilcken, Ronald Hacket, and Larry Defa of Troop 265 of Hanna; Lynn Turnbow of Tabiona Post 2263, and Barry Jordan of Duchesne troop 268 received Life Scout badges. Star Badges iStar scout badges were pinned on Douglas Murphy of Bridgeland troop 247; Frank Noel of Duchesne troop 268; Evan Lusty, Baird Evans, Ronald Capson, Leon Ross, and Laird Evans of Arcadia troop 259; and Fred Evans of Arcadia Post 2259. Kermit Warner, troop 268 received re-ceived his second class badge, and Funnon C. Barker troop 247, his tenderfoot. -uougias Murphy of Bridgeland I troop 247 received his horsemanship horseman-ship merit badge; Barry Jordan of Troop 268 earned nature and citizenship citi-zenship in the home merit badges. Merit badges going to Hanna troop 265' were: Citizenship in the home, public speaking, and citizenship citizen-ship in the community to Larry Defa; forestry, corn farming and citizenship in the nation to Ronald Hacket: citizenship in the nation nature and forestry to Richard Moon; and nature, forestry and public health to Larry Wilcken. Arcadia Post 2259 presented Fred Evans for life saving, fire-manship, fire-manship, safety, public health, and personal fitness; and Robert Tanner Tan-ner for, wildlife management, dairying, dairy-ing, safety and public health. From Arcadia trop 259, Thomas Hamilton received horsemanship, sheep farming, camping and citizenship citi-zenship in the home; Evan Lusty public health, home repairs, camping camp-ing swimming, animal industry and personal fitness; Baird Evans, public health, animal industry, personal per-sonal fitness, beef production, camping and swimming;, and Roland Rol-and Capson merit badges in machinery, mach-inery, agricultural, pioneering, fire-manship, fire-manship, camping and personal fitness. fit-ness. Next Duchesne District Court of Honor is slated for Sunday, Nov. 4, at 3 p.m. in the Arcadia LDS Chapel, concluded Mr. Mickelson. |
