Show This Week's RECIPE . , . You will want to try Shrimp Creole, a wonderful party menu dish and delicious for your family if they enjoy shrimp. The recipe was submitted by Mrs. Bennie Schmiett. SHRIMP CREOLE (Serves 10 to 12 2 tbs. salad oil 1 14 small onions, chopped fine 1 small green pepper, chopped 6 or 8 stalks celery, cut fine Heat salad oil and saute remaining re-maining ingredients. Then add: 1 Ige. can tomatoes 1 small can tomato juice Bay leaf Pinch of oregano Pinch of curry powder Cook all ingredients until the celery is tender. Thicken with 2 tbs. cornstarch, dissolved in cold water. To tomato mixture add iy2 lbs. fresh shrimp (which have been deveined and boiled . Serve over steamed rice "(use 2 cups of uncooked rice for recipe). |
