Show Pair Is Charged In Burglary Of Army-flavy Store Two brothers who made Roosevelt Roose-velt one of their stops on an apparent burglary spree are being held in jail at Price and a Rose-velt Rose-velt merchant has recovered the loot they took last Thursday night. Sheriff Lorin Stevenson and Roosevelt Police Chief Roe McDonald Mc-Donald recovered loot taken from the Roosevelt Army-Navy store by two men who apparently gained easy access by cutting a hole in the rear door. . Jack Newell, 25, and Terry W. Johnson, 21 were being sought by Orem police on holdup charges when they were apprehended in Carbon county by Highway Patrolman Patrol-man Joe Arnold. He arrested them after they spent the night in a gravel pit near Wellington. Officers Of-ficers were led to a house in Consumers Con-sumers where more loot was found. Xhey are. brothers but Johnson was adopted by another family. Mr. McDonald filed second degree burglary charges against the two. men. He said they went to the Army-iNavy store last Thursday Thurs-day and looked it over while purchasing pur-chasing a shaving kit. They returned re-turned that night and entered the place through the back door, taking tak-ing a sleeping bag, a 30-30 rifle and some 22 shells. i |
