Show Two Boy Scouts Set Life Badges Chad Hansen of Mt. Emmons, Post 2254 and Pete Nyberg of Mt. Home, Post 2249, received their Life Scout Badge as the highlight of the Altonah Court of Honor conducted con-ducted Oct. 7 in the Moon Lake District, Utah National Parks Council, reports E. Don Nyberg, district advancement chairman. Three other explorers, Lloyd Swasey and Kirk Brotherson of Boneta Post 2256, and Larry Max-field Max-field of Altonah Troop 266 received receiv-ed their Star scout awards. Brent Brotherson of Boneta Troop 254 received his First Class badge while Lonnie Oman and Ryan Johansen of the same troop received tenderfoot pins. Boneta Post 2256 walked off with the advancement plaque for the most advancements and scouting scout-ing during the past month, stated Mr. Nyberg. Fourteen merit badges were awarded at the Court of Honor to: Lyle Gomm, Post 2256, one for I farm machines; Pete Nyberg, Post 2249, First Aid and Soil and Water Conservation; Chad Hansen, Post 2254, Nature and Citizenship in the Home; Larry Maxfield, Troop 266, Citizenship in the Home, Farm Mechanics and Public Health. Other merit badges presented were Citizenship in the Home, Home Repairs, and Public Health to Allan Ames of Altonah Troop 266 and Dramatics, Cooking and Public Health to Kent Maxfield of the same unit. Next Court of Honor in Moon Lake District will be held Sunday, November 4, 1956 at 3 p.m. at the Boneta LDS chapel, concluded Mr. Nyberg. |
