Show Union Dropped By Tall Salina Crew In Opener A taller North Sevier team from Salina caufe'ht fire in the last half of the Wednesday "B" tournament game with Union High School and bounded to a 47-26 win over the Cougars. Fragmentary reports from the tournament reveal that Ken Nickell and Gwen Bodily were banished from the game in the last half for reason of too many fouls, and with these two defensive stars on the bench. Union's defense bogged down and the Salina five really went to work. The first quarter score was 10-10 and the half was 17-18 17-18 for Salina. Union meets Cedar City tonight to-night in the final game of the tournament. This is the same team that beat the Roosevelt Hough Riders last year in the tourney opener. |
