Show School jlotes MYTON ELEMENTARY One of the fifth graders' classmates has a new brother. broth-er. Wayne Martin's brother was born on Feb. 27. He weighed 9 lbs. 1 oz. Myton City and the Myton school have been without water for better than two weeks. It was a great relief when on March 6 the water came on again. The students have had to carry their own drinking water to school. They report that water wa-ter out of Lake Fork is drinkable drink-able but has a nasty taste. They think the bad taste is due to the pipes. There are still a few fifth graders, including the teacher, who have to take one more typhoid ty-phoid shot. Jay Price says "They made my arm sore." Most of the others agree with him. They are glad that March 14 will be the last day for shots. Myton School is going to gel some new playground equipment. equip-ment. They hope that it will be installed sometime in April. They are going to get a new merry-go-around and a jungle gym. The jungle gym is being built by some men of Myton. The fifth grade students planted some wheat and barley on March 2. On March 10. they measured the grain. They found it had grown to a height of eight inches, making a total of one inch each day it had grown. The second grade won the P.T.A. picture for the month of April by having the most 1 parents present at the P.T.A. j meeting on March 5. By the Fifth Grade |
