Show Mr and Mrs. Anthon Christensen Chris-tensen and son, Douglas, left Tuesday to take Mrs. Christen-sen's Christen-sen's mother, Mrs. Arthur Bunker, Bunk-er, to her home in Springvule after she had spent three weeks here. The Christensens planned to go to Salt Lake, where she had made arrangements to enter the Holy Cross hospital for medicai treatment. Douglas was to meet his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alma Christensen, and accompany accom-pany them to Delta for a 10-day' visit. I Bob Harrison, small son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Harrison, was a patient in the Rooseveit Hospital last week, where he received medical treatment for a light case of pneumonia. He is now home and feeling fine. Mrs. Walter J. Woods, of Driggs, Idaho, is visiting with her daughters and sons-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Oberhansley. in Neola, and Mr. and Mrs. Verlen Labrum, Roosevelt. Among basketball fans leaving leav-ing this week to see Union play in the tournament were: Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Eldredge and sons, Burke and Gordon, accompanied ac-companied by Doug Malin; Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Harmston, Dr. and Mrs. 'Paul Stringham, Mrs. Bennie Schmiett; Ken Aycock Bill Murdock, Kirk Benson and jack iiirtcner. Bishop E. J. Nixon left Wednesday to take a group of deacons from the Second LDS Ward; and Dr. Vere Johnson left today to take the Roosevelt Ward deacons in to witness the games. I know there were many others oth-ers who went or intend to go, but they have failed to notify the Standard. Emerson Oberhansly, of Hay-den, Hay-den, was released last week after af-ter being in the Veterans Hos- j pital in Salt Lake City, where! he underwent - a major opera- j tion on his back. Mrs. Zelma Beardall, of Springville, arrived last Sunday Sun-day to spend a week with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Swenson. Of course, the main attraction wasi the new grandson, Randy. Salt Lake City visitors last Thursday and Friday were Mr. and Mrs. Theron Leavitt r daughters. Arvin Labrum and Ray John-stun, John-stun, students at BYU. Provo, spent the, weekend in Roosevelt. Roose-velt. Howard Harmston, Jr. returned return-ed last Saturday from a week's trip with Rev. Charles Ray, pastor of the Baptist Church at Dragerton. They visited Boulder Boul-der Dam, Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon and in Phoenix. Arizona. Ari-zona. Steve Bellon entered the Veterans' Vet-erans' Hospital in Salt Lake City last week, where he is now under observation awaiting- an operation. His friends all wish him a speedy recovery. recov-ery. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Montgomery Mont-gomery and children spent lasl weekend in Salt Lake City. . Dinner guests at -the home of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Bowman last Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Dwain Buchanan and the twins, Jack and Jill; Mrs. Bertha Herbert, Her-bert, and George and John Rice, of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Jerry Van, nee Darlene Brown, arrived Wednesday night from San Francisco, California, Cal-ifornia, where she has been with her husband, who was sta tioned there with the Navy. He left San Francisco, March fc', for the east coast, where he will participate in operations out of New Port, R. I. Mrs. Van will remain with her mother, Mrs. Ethel Brown, for about six months. Alva Snow was a Salt Lake City visitor Monday and a Heber City visitor Tuesday. He h ad intended to return home Monday night, but was snow bound in Heber. Mrs. Vere Johnson and children chil-dren returned home last Sunday Sun-day night after visiting more than a week in Logan. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Madsen are leaving tomorrow for a two-week two-week trip to Mexico. Mr. Mad-sen Mad-sen expects to be inducted into the armed services ' upon his return. Mr. and Mrs. Dwain Buchan-, an and twins, Jack and Jill, accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Buchanan's mother. Mrs. Bertha Herbert, left last Monday for Springville, Spring-ville, where Mrs. Herbert will remain for a while with . a daughter.
