Show Buried Saturday Mrs. 'Alice Haslem, wife of the late Joshua Haslem and a former resident of Bennett, passed away at her home in Maeser last week. She was buried bur-ied at the Naples cemetery last Saturday. Her two sons, Clair and John Haslem, are residents of Bennett. Attending the funeral services ser-vices from here were Mr. and Mrs. John Bolton, Mr. and Mrs. Otis Horrocks, Mr. and Mrs. Winfred Long, Mrs. Leslie Taylor, Tay-lor, Mrs. Nellie Whitlock, Mrs. Reva Hall, Mrs. Hartle, from Lapoint, Mrs. Frances Bowen and Kay Bowen. On account of snow slides in Daniels Canyon, relatives from Provo were unable to attend the services. Ice and water in the roads make it necessary to dispense with Relief Society 'and Mutual meetings next Tuesday. Mrs. Clair Haslem has returned re-turned from Salt Lake City, where she recently underwent an operation for gall stones. Mary Hullinger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Hullinger,, spent a night recently at the home of Winfred Long as a guest of Lorraine. Mrs. Frances Horrocks spent Friday and Saturday at Vernal attending teachers institute. The subject was Mental Health and the Family. Mr. and Mrs. Bry Stringham, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Coltharp, are spendin? a week in Salt Lake City on a combined business and pleasure trip. Mrs. Jay Larsen fell recently and broke her arm. Emerson Oberhansly is home from the hospital, where he had a disc removed from his spine. He is much improved, but it will be a couple of years before he will be able to carry on with his stock raising again, |
