Show Manna Man Weds California Woman FJov. 24th Jack Lee of Hanna, and Mrs. Lilly Houger of San Gabriel (suburbs (sub-urbs of Los Angeles), Calif., were married on Nov. 24th at Alham-bra, Alham-bra, Calif, in the Alhambra wedding wed-ding chapel. The ceremony was performed by candlelight at 8:00 p.m. by the Reverend Collier (who, by the way, is a lady). Bridesmaids were Cheryl Spears and Bonnie Jones, both granddaughters grand-daughters of the new Mrs. Lee. Also, a granddaughter, Deniese Houger, was a flower girl. Matron of honor and best man duties were performed by Mr. and Mrs. William Wil-liam Harris, who are both 72 years of age. The bride was given away by her oldest son, Byron Houger. A wedding reception was held following the ceremony and many beautiful gifts were received by the bride and groom. Around 250 guests were present. The new Mrs. Lee was born in Pennsylvania in 1888 and received her college education at Indiana Normal School. She has been a food inspector in the county of Los Angeles for the past 27 years. She has property in San Gabriel, Calif. She is the mother of three sons and one daughter: Byron, Lloyd, of Alhambra; Don of Las Vegas, Nevada; and Mrs. Romaine Spears of San Gabriel, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Lee met years ago in Salt Lake City and became good friends. Then as they each went their separate ways they lost track of one another until one day recently Lilly ran across an old Christmas card from Jack and she decided to renew old acquaintances. acquain-tances. The newlyweds will make their home for the present in the Fa-brazio Fa-brazio apartments by the store. Mrs. Lee says she loves Utah and hopes to make friends with everyone here in the valley. |
