Show Smorgasbord And Mental Health Program At P-TA Approximately 180 parents and teachers were served at the Smorgasbord Smor-gasbord dinner sponsored by the Roosevelt P-TA Thursday, Dec. 2, at the Elementary School, under the chairmanship of the finance chairman, Mrs. Parley Rawlings. Following the dinner a mental health program was presented, consisting of a film entitled "Mental "Men-tal Health," and a group discussion discus-sion led by Reed Hansen of Vernal, Ver-nal, child welfare director. Anthon B. Christensen, vice-president, vice-president, took charge of the meeting, introducing the following follow-ing program: two vocal solos, Mrs. Dorothy Luck, accompanied by Mrs. Tal Wardle; instrumental ensemblle by Junior High School students, Joel Murphy, Lane Van Tassell, Wayne Martin, Patsy Kil-lian, Kil-lian, Betty Burgess, Lynn Goodrich Good-rich and Glendon Malnar, conducted con-ducted by Lawrence Lee, music instructor. in-structor. To commence the meeting, community com-munity singing was led by Mrs. David Watkins, accompanied by Mrs. Hollis Hullinger. Attendance banner at the Elementary Ele-mentary School went to Mr. Mitchell's fifth grade and honors at the Jr. High went to Wanda Riggle's home room. Assisting Mrs. Rawlings with arrangements for the dinner were Mrs. Howard Harrison, Mrs. Donald Don-ald Laris, Mrs. Mirl Jennings, Mrs. Bennie Schmiett, Mrs. Lynn Dye, Mrs. Earl Dillman and Mrs. Anthon B. Christensen. The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 6. |
