Show School Notes LONG HORN ROUND-UP Here we are another week gone by and only a couple more left before Christmas. The seniors did double duty last week in presenting present-ing their Hop and assembly. Some very outstanding entertainment was presented. Carma Rae Chrjs-tensen Chrjs-tensen sang a solo, Janice Bleaz-ard, Bleaz-ard, Sherma Morrell and Alta Ames sang a trio, Carma Jean Hansen gave a reading, Mr. Harmon Har-mon played a saxophone solo and Lucy Bird played a harmonica solo. And no one could miss Char-lene Char-lene Swasey and her rendition of Marilyn Monroe. The Hop was a great success. This will be the last dance for the seniors and all who attended thought it was really nice. One of the most interesting features of the school year was the BYU assembly. This was something very special and interesting. inter-esting. They featured the costumes of many types of people and also some of their dances. The dances and songs were authentic Indian and native activities. The first basketball game was a win for Altamont. The game was played December 1st with the alumni. The score was as follows: G T F P Altamont 12 35 15 39 Alumni 6 34 12 24 High point man was Max Broth-erson Broth-erson with 13 points. The team will leave Thursday for a three game series with Granite, Gran-ite, Grantsville and Dugway. (Crowded Out Last Week) Thanksgiving guests at the Mary Snyder home in Altamont were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Case from Mt. FJmrnlons, Mr. and Mrs. Win. Neal from Mt. Home, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Will Oase from Daichesne, Mr. and Mrs. Artihur Oase from Bountiful, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Case and Gayle from Mt. Emmons, Fred Snyder froim Pocatello, Idaho, and Mrs. Mary A. Case from Mt. Emimons. That evening they gathered at the Floyd Case home along with Mr. and Mrs. G?ard Goodriah and family and Mr. and Mrs. Les Pearson and family and enjoyed some beautiful beau-tiful pictures of Oanada and also of some fishing trips. Mr. and Mrs. Michael Clifford Clif-ford and daughter, of Salt Lake, were special guests at the Jewel Kolb home. They attended at-tended the christening of Michael, Mich-ael, new baby of Mr. and Mrs. Kolb. Mr. and Mrs. Kay Winn and family were weekend guests at the Kolb home. Guests for Thanksgiving dinner din-ner at the Ed Crosby home were Earl Crosby from Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Fay Miles from Mt. Holme, and Mr. and Mrs. W'illard Mechlam from Mt. Emmions. Mr. and Mrs. Crosby spent Sunday in Neola visiting Mr. and Mrs. Dale Crozier. D.U.P. meeting was held Nov. 18 at the home of Mrs. Ruth Hartman. Nine ladies were present and a lovely lunch was served by Mrs. Hartman. Hart-man. Mrs. Frances Allred gave the lesson. Thanksgiving dinner guests at the Alrvin Denver home were Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Fellows and iboys from Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Houtz from |
