Golden Collins, Ballard ward bishop, when he was named wholesale distributor distribu-tor in Roosevelt area for Standard Stan-dard Oil Co. f5- Standard Oil Co. lames Clew Wholesale Dealer T. Golden Collins has been named wholesale distributor for the Standard Oil Company of California Cali-fornia in Roosevelt and the adjacent ad-jacent area, it was announced this week. He succeeds I. Sander, who has been the wholesale distributor for this area for the past twenty years. Mr. Collins, bishop of the Ballard Bal-lard ward for the past seven years, has lived in Roosevelt all his life'. He married the former Florell Marx and they have a family fam-ily of eight children. The eldest, a daughter, Myrtle, is presently serving an LDS church mission in Brazil South America. Mr. Collins expressed himself as well pleased with his new post He also stated that he would continue con-tinue an active interest in civic and community activities, particularly partic-ularly with the Boy Scouts of America in the Roosevelt area. Water Meeting At Aiiamont Is Set For Tonight A water and conservation meeting meet-ing will be held at the Aitamont High School at 8 p.m. tonight March 15, reports Robert S. Mur-dock, Mur-dock, Duchesne county agricultural agent. Five governmental agencies will be represented at this meeting to discuss water conservation, its usage, us-age, drainage, use of head gates and the way the Agricultural Stabilization Stab-ilization Conservation program fits into this water conservation scheme, Mr. Murdock said. These five agencies are the Agricultural Stabilization Conservation, Indian Service, Forest Service, Soil Conservation Con-servation Service and the Extension Exten-sion Service. A consulting engineer will be at this public meeting to give farmers and ranchers information pertaining to drainage, lining of ditches, ' and other engineering problems. |
