Show Improvement Of Roads Assured For Dinosaur Park Assurance came recently from Senator Wallace F. Bennett (R-Utah), (R-Utah), that the federal government is going to spend $615,899.00 during dur-ing the next fiscal year on making Dinosaur National Monument a more' attractive tourist center. His announcement followed a meeting with the Park Service officials. Senator Bennett quoted Park Service Director Conrad Wirth as saying the Interior appropriation bill passed by the House Tuesday contained these funds fdr Dinosaur. Dino-saur. He said the figure represented represent-ed $106,600 more than the President's Presi-dent's budget originally sought for the national monument. The new money is earmarked for a road in the quary area, the senator said. The budget also includes in-cludes $275,000 for a visitor's center cen-ter and funds for employee housing, hous-ing, reliefing fossils and installation installa-tion of utilities. |
