Show Iliwanis Urges Support Of AIB Churches Continuing their project of becoming acquainted wiui the leaders of the various religious organizations in Roosevuii, and learning something of uicir beliefs, be-liefs, the Support of tnurches committee of the Kiwanis Club had on its program Wednesday night a discourse on "Mormon-ism," "Mormon-ism," delivered by Dr. Vere H. Johnson, member of the Roosevelt Roos-evelt Ward bishopric. Dr. Johnson explained the missionary system of the church and told the group of its claims to authority and how it functions. Supplementing the speaker was a quartet composed of Dr. Johnson, Ivan Payne, Melvin Peterson, Garth Tiet-jen, Tiet-jen, accompanied by Miss Ann Payne. Another guest of the club was Don Truman, assistant manager of the Modern Drug. Next week the Commercial Bank of Utah will present the program for the club, with Ki-wanian Ki-wanian Robert Montgomery, assistant as-sistant manager of the local office, of-fice, in charge. |
