Each ' 'eache!"n the Elementary School I J.gtmgjxhibits of their work that had been done during the year. The afternoon program, arranged ar-ranged expressly for the enjoyment enjoy-ment of the visitors, was preceded pre-ceded by an award to the girls selected by the American Legion Leg-ion Auxiliary to be delegates to Girls' State. The awards were presented to Margaret Bird and Ella Swasey by Mrs. Mary Carroll, Car-roll, president of the Auxiliary. The program consisted of a well-arranged fashion show, under un-der the direction of Mrs. Eliza Olsen, Domestic Science teacher at Altamont High. All girls participating par-ticipating were Home Economics students and had made the articles ar-ticles they modeled. It was apparent ap-parent that Mrs. Olsen is a very capable teacher, because the clothing showed good style and practicability, and excellent workmanship. The styles ranged through the seasons and for ah types of activities. There were several fine musical musi-cal numbers inter spersed throughout the program. Mrs. Bell presented an enjoyable, enjoy-able, but much too short demonstration demon-stration of Pyramid Building, by her Physical Education girls. Then, she was in charge with Mrs. Olsen, of a tea served the visitors. |
