Show Ted Thomas, Jr. Gets Discharge Mr. and Mrs. Ted Thomas, Sr. enjoyed a visit from their son and daughter-in-law and children, chil-dren, who came from Price, Saturday. Their son, Ted Thomas, Thom-as, Jr., received his discharge from the U. S. Navy at San Diego, Calif., Coronado' Naval Base, April 28th, after serving eleven months as radioman 1c. He was stationed on 'the flagship U.S S. Estes in the Korean waters wa-ters during most of that period. The young Navy man and his family will reside at Price for the present, but may decide later lat-er to make their home in the Uintah Basin. Mr. Thomas is also al-so a veteran of World War II. BASIN IS SAFER Visitors at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Nephi Porritt and Mr. and Mrs. Levi Porritt are Mr. and Mrs. ' William Trinniman and children and Mrs. Peterson, who came from Salt Lake City and decided this district would be safer. Mrs. Trinniman is a sister of both Mrs. Nephi and Mrs. Levi Porritt. Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Schuckers are enjoying a visit from Mrs. Grace Roden, Mr. Schuckers aunt, who arrived Saturday from Reynoldsville, Penn. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Lott and children spent the weekend in Salt Lake City, where they visited vis-ited relatives. Bert Smith and Mrs. Chris Goris and small son came from Salt Lake City, Saturday, to enjoy en-joy a weekend visit with, their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Smith. Franklin Peterson and Russell Gingell, students at Snow College Col-lege at Ephraim, came home for the weekend to visit, their parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Ole Peterson and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gingell. Weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Krissman were Mr. and Mrs. John TCriss-. man, parents of Mr. Krissman, who came from Helper for a short visit. Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Tolboe and Mrs. Andrew Tolboe' visited relatives in Provo, leaving here Saturday and returning Sunday evening.' They report the 'flood situation in the Provo district looks serious. Miss Joan- Gingell. of Salt Lake City, was a weekend visitor visi-tor at the home of her. parents. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gingell. |
