Show Variety Club Meets The Mt. Emmons Variety club held its semi-monthly meeting at the home of Mrs. Gene Hart-man, Hart-man, Wednesday, April 30 Those present were Mrs. David Gailey, Mrs. Oral Thacker, Mrs. LaVear Timothy, Mrs. John Lambert, and the hostess. The ladies played Canasta and enjoyed en-joyed a delicious salad luncheon served by Mrs. Hartman. Mr. and Mrs. Irving Snow enjoyed en-joyed a weekend visit with their daughter, Mrs. Ruby Fitzwater, of Duchesne, and her three little daughters, Shirley, Michelle and Marsha. Mr. Snow was assured this week by the doctor that his health is stedily improving. This is very welcome news to his friends 'and his family. Theil Gomm visited with his family over the weekend of April 26. He is a sophomore at the USAC in Logan. Mrs. Grant Hansen spent the week of April 21 to 25 visiting with her brother and family in Provo, " and' other relatives in Payson. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Hartman had their new baby son blessed at Fast Meeting, Sunday, May 4. His- uncje. Max Hartman, blessed him. His name is Randy B Hartman. The regular weekly meeting of the Adult Aaronic Priesthood group was held at the home of Mr and Mrs. Bernard Dastrup, Thursday, May 1. Mr. Berrett is the instructor for the group. Leo Peterson, of Salt Lake, is staying with Mr. and Mrs. Lynden Hansen and doing' some building at Altamont. He is Mr. Hansen's brother-in-law. Ward Primary Conference was held Sunday, May 4. The program was "The Children Sing." President Pearl Orr was in charge, with Mrs. John Lambert Lam-bert conducting. Many fine I songs were ably sung by the Primary children from the new song book. Mrs. Grant Hansen conducted the singing and Mrs. Bernice Boswell was the accompanist. accom-panist. Mrs. Orr is to be complimented com-plimented on the good work her Primary is doing. Mrs. Edna Hartman was the visitor from the Stake Board. ' Mr. and Mrs. Evan Hansen went to Salt Lake over the past weekend to see Mrs. Hansen's mother, who has been in the hospital for the previous week. They were accompanied by Mrs. Hardy Perkins, of Altonah. They reported that Mrs. Hansen s mother is very ill and due to her advanced age, her condition is extremely critical.
