Show UPALCO demo Williams Altamont High Holds Girls' Day " Girls' Day was held May 2 at Altamont High School, with a fine program being presented. A fashion show was 'put on by the Home Ec classes. Refreshments Refresh-ments were served to the mothers moth-ers and girls. A ball game was played between Duchesne and Altamont and many other activities ac-tivities were arranged by the Arts and Crafts classes. Those who attended from here were Mrs. E. L. Murphy, : Mrs. Earl Reese and daughter, ; Mrs. Bill Taylor, Mrs. Lee Potts j and daughters, Mrs. Wayne Williams and daughters. Claude j org and daughters. A dance completed the activities acti-vities of the day. Mr. and Mrs. Ned Mitchell and children, of Mt. Emmons, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Parley Par-ley Mitchell. They also visited . with Mr. and Mrs. Mar Dee Mitchell. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Durfey and children visited in Tooele where Mr. Durfey is trying to ; find work. ' Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Mitcheli i and daughter, Wanda, and Mrs. . Lee Potts and daughter, Naomi,! made a trip to Salt Lake during the week. j Mrs. Zola Hamburg and chil-1 dren, of Bluebell, and Mrs. Sam j Williams and Blane, of Upalco, j visited with Mr. and Mrs. M. G. Williams this week. Norman Murphy, of Roose-1 velt, visited at the home of Mr. j and Mrs. E. L. Murphy during, the week. Mrs. Ethel Coburn. of Mack-ey, Mack-ey, Idaho, is visiting with her daughter and family, Mrs. Wayne Williams. She is planning plan-ning on making her home here for a while. Mrs. Zid Mathews, of Roosevelt Roose-velt visited with Mr. and Mrs. Percy Potts during the week. A group of ladies met at the home of Mrs. Nettie Potts to make a quilt for Miss Naomi Potts. Carolee Potts was the guest of Mrs. Walt Anderson and at tended the Whiterocks school. E. L. Murphy is ill in the Roosevelt hospital. We wish him a speedy recovery. Ned Mitchell, formerly of Upalco, now of Mt. Emmons, is in the Roosevelt hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Neal Murray, of Myton, visited with Mr. and Mrs Kenneth Carroll during the week. |
