Show Benefit Basketball Contests Planned To Raise County's Polio Quota; Businessmen From 2 Cities To Play Uintah Basin basketball, fans will be treated to two special j basketball games on Jan. 21 at Union High School, to be sponsored spon-sored by Duchesne and Uintah Counties March of Dimes, reports re-ports A. B. Christensen, Duchesne Du-chesne County chairman. Playing the first g'ame at 7:30 will be outstanding players from an all-star M Men team from Roosevelt, versus highly talented talent-ed players from the Uintah Stake all-star M Men teams. The second game will start at 8:30 and will be a highly en-! en-! teTtaining attraction, featuring a colorful team composed of Roosevelt business and professional profes-sional men versus a highly touted tout-ed and stream-lined group of business and professional mdn from Vernal. Mayor Paul Murphy, a real scoring threat, and sponsor of the local team, reports that he has his team all fired up for the classic event and promises much hidden talent will be exposed. ex-posed. Dr. Dan Price, of Vernal, Uintah County March of Dimes chairman and an enthusiastic sponsor, reports his team is an ambitious bunch who are rapidly rapid-ly shaping up and have their sights aimed at toppling Roosevelt.
