The meeting will be as was given at Vernal, Friday, Fri-day, and is well worth one's time to attend. i A Mutual officers meeting and get-to-gether was held Sunday Sun-day evening at the home of Win-fred Win-fred Long. Saturday evening the power line broke near the Burns Mc-Kowen Mc-Kowen residence, causing quite a grass fire. Thursday evening friends and neighbors gathered at the home of Roy Springer to surprise Mrs. Springer, the date being her birthday. Mrs. Bill Ray, who lives at the state fish hatchery at White-rocks, White-rocks, was a visitor at the horne of Henry Tidwell. Mr. and Mrs. Gerold Bolton entertained Mr. and Mrs. Clair Haslem and family Monday evening, eve-ning, the occasion being Mr. and Mrs. Haslem's 30th wedding anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. John Bolton and son. Leland. were visitors at the home of her mother, Mrs. John McKowen. of Vernal, on Saturday. Satur-day. Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Hor-rocks Hor-rocks were guests at a square dancing party Thursday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Hacking, of Vernal. Mr. and Mrs. Otis Horrocks visited in Vernal, Saturday, with Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Horrocks. High Councilmen James Bacon Ba-con and Norman Holmes were speakers at Sacrament meeting Sunday. Mrs. Molly Shavanaugh and daughter, Clarise, of Lapoint, visited at the Delbert Horrocks home Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Lambert visited at the home of Frances Bowen, Wednesday. Otis Horrocks, of the High Priests' presidency, visited the Moffat and Leota wards, Sunday Sun-day Mrs. W. H. Coltharp served a family dinner to Mr. and Mrs. Bill, Mr. and Mrs. Ned, and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Coltharp, and Mr. and Mrs. George Houston on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs, Kelvin Williams have a new 8 pound baby boy, orn in Salt Lake, Jan. 4th. Mrs. Williams is the former Lola Bolton. Bol-ton. Her sister, Bertha, left immediately im-mediately after receiving word, to be with her sister. |
