Show TRIDELL Mrs. Lorna McKee Worker Honored The officers and teachers of the MIA held a party at the chapel Monday night in honor of Mrs. Martha Morrill, who was recently released as president of the Y. W.M.I.A. Mrs. Morrill was presented pre-sented a missionary bible for her faithful service in this calling. Mervin Haub, from Shelby, Montana, Mon-tana, visited in Tridell during the week. His mother, Mrs. Mabel Haub, returned with him, where she will visit for a few weeks. Mrs. Duane McKee was a medical med-ical patient at the Uintah Basin hospital Monday and Tuesday. The Ivan Rosses from Little Bonanza, visited in Tridell, Saturday. Satur-day. Mr. and Mrs. Garth Ross, from Bountiful, and the Carl Gardinerf family from Naples, visited at the Laren Ross home Supday afternoon. after-noon. John T. Wilson is a patient at the Roosevelt Hospital. Morlan Harvey went to Tooele, Provo and Salt Lake last week on business. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Morrill accompanied ac-companied by. Mr. and Mrs. Alma Preece, of Vernal, went to Salt Lake last week to see the Dellis Morrills off on the train to San Francisco, where they will sail for Australia on a two year mission. Mrs. Christa Ross was substitute substi-tute cook at the Whiterocks School during the week. Visitors from Vernal at Sunday School last Sunday were William B. Wallace, Frank Walker, Wallace Wal-lace Winder, Woodrow White and Allan Mansfield. Mr. and Mrs. Duane McKee were in Salt Lake City Wednesday Wednes-day and Thursday of last week. Mrs. McKee's mother, Mrs. Ida Bowthope, from Vernal, accompanied accom-panied them. The general activity night for the M.I.A. was carried on last Tuesday night by having a dance and a program. The program was presented by the M Men and Gleaner girls. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Merkley,' ward dance directors, led the group in mixers and square dancing. Mrs Grant Betts returned from the Roosevelt Hospital Sunday with her new baby. The Betts will give their new son the name of Roger Ernest. - HAVE QUORUM PARTY The Council of the 97th Quorum of Seventies with their wives and families held a Christmas party at the Tridell chapel, Wednesday night, Dec. 8. Games were played and a fish pond was held for the children. Families coming from Vernal were: Mr. and Mrs. Glen Oaks and family, Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Lind and son, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Remington and son, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Allred and family. |
