Show LAPOIHT Mrs. Mable Jenkiiis Sunday School Presents Program The Sunday School put on the program at the Sunday meeting. Talks were given by Loris. Wool-ley, Wool-ley, Kenneth Hartle, Vera Huber, Keith Walker and Lyle Taylor. A piano solo was given by Jolene Ottensen. Dawn Huber, accompanied accompan-ied by Rex Taylor, presented a song number. A Fireside chat was held in the chapel. Beatrice Stringham showed films of her trip to Europe Eur-ope and displayed different articles ar-ticles she brought back home Mrs. Alice Angus went to California Cali-fornia for the winter after spending spend-ing the summer here at her home. Orpha Kump spent Wednesday in Roosevelt visiting her daughter, Mrs. Bert Angus and family. MIA PRESENT 3-ACT PLAY The MIA presented a three-act play Tuesday evening named, "Paper Plates for Papa." a very large croud attended. The Lapoint Relief Society gave a chiken supper Dec. 3. About 150 plates were sold. A bazaar and fish pond provided activity for the adults and children. A program was presented to the large gruop in attendance. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Norton and son Merlin who has his discharge dis-charge from the Navy were dinner din-ner guests of Mrs. Sarah Norton last Sunday .evening. Hyrum Sowards and Clyde Jar-rell Jar-rell of Fontana, California were visitors of Mrs. Hayden Foster last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Art Taylor received re-ceived word their son Kent was home in Salt Lake City for a few days furlough. His mother, Mrs. Ethel Taylor, and sister, Kathryh, went to Salt Lake City Saturday evening by bus to spend a few days with her son and family. Clyde Jarrell and mother, Mrs. Mary Jarrell, left Monday for his home in Fontnan, Calif., where Mrs. Jarrell will spend the winter with her son and family. Mr. and Mrs. Hayden Foster, Clyde Jarrell, of Fontana, Calif., and Mrs. Mary Jarrell were Sunday Sun-day dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Babe Vernon and family of Maeser. Mrs. Vernon is a niece of Mr. Jarrell. |
