Show RELIEF SOCIETY, ROOSEVELT WARD Mrs. Mildred Smith, who resigned as president of the Relief Re-lief Society of the Roosevelt L.D.S. ward when she moved to Duchesne recently, was honored at a social Tuesday afternoon at the Roosevelt stake house. A one-act play with three scenes, entitled "Mildred Smith Pursues the Town," was presented, pre-sented, and a story was told by Mattie Edwards. Two songs were sung by Mrs. Garth Tietjen's 4th grade and piano solos were played by Mrs. Lela Labrum ana Laura Ann Leavitt. Lovely refreshments were served at the conclusion of the party. Next regular meeting, according- to Carma Winterton, president, presi-dent, will be held next Tuesday at 2 p. m., when Delia Whitehead White-head will give the theology lesson. les-son. A Singing Mothers chorus will be organized under the direction of Nettie Reynolds, who invites all ladies of the ward who are interested to be in attendance npxt Tuesday for the practice I which will be held directly fol- lowing the Relief Society meeting. |
