Show Bob Sathcr, with his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Sather, of Evanston, Wyo left Roosevelt last Friday for Duluth, Minn, and a short visit with Bob's and Dick's mother. West of Denver the car was wrecked, but the trio made it to the Colorado capitol where they were joined by another brother, Howard, and left Sunday morning morn-ing in his car, still intent upon reaching Duluth. However, winter set in over eastern Colorado, and the four were snow-bound at Ft. Morgan for three days. Finally, they decided de-cided on another try only to be held up in a drift seven miles beyond the city. Taking refuge at a ranch house out of Ft. Morgan, the party was snow-bound for another day. They were due back in Denver Thursday, where they will board j a plane for Duluth. ' Barring further winter weather. weath-er. Bob will return to Roosevelt Tuesday of next week. Mrs. Curtis Walton, Joanne and Garrv arrived December 23 to spend Christmas and the New Year at home. They returned to Salt Lake City Sunday so that Joanne and Garry could resume their classes Monday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Harm-ston Harm-ston and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Harmston motored to Salt Lake City Tuesday morning on a combined com-bined business and pleasure trip. They returned Thursday evening. eve-ning. Tommy Timothy, a student at the B Y U arrived December 23 to spend the holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Timothy. Tim-othy. He motored back to Provo with his father, January 2, taking Rodney Perry back with him. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Jordan and Joyce were hosts to a group of Joyce's school friends at a dinner at the Frontier Grill on New Year's day. Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Fretwell motored to Mt. Pleasant Monday to take their daughter, Yvonne back to Wasatch Academy. They were accompanied by Garry Mul-lins, Mul-lins, who is also attending Wasatch Was-atch Academy.' Melpha Hourz, seven-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. K. R. Houtz, is in the Salt Lake General Gen-eral ? hospital, suffering with laryngitis, a non-contagious disease. dis-ease. - Mrs. Ray Jordan and Joyce went to Salt Lake Sunday evening eve-ning to spend a day shopping before be-fore Joyce returned to Wasatch Academy at Mt Pleasant Monday evening. Merlin Reynolds is visiting in California, Louis Corbridge motored to Roosevelt Tuesday evening to take Mrs. Corbridge and the children chil-dren to Eureka, where Mr. Corbridge Cor-bridge has been transferred as manager of the J. C. Penney Co. store. They left Roosevelt Thursday Thurs-day morning. |
