Show School Doings ROOSEVELT HIGH Graudates of by-gone years came to ol R H S December 21 to present an alumni assembly. Bob Benson kept the audience roaring with jokes, he described as being 'ancient', while acting as master-of-ceremonies. He introduced in-troduced the alumni portraying R II S faculty members. First came Donna Rae Labrum, as Principal Jensen; then Betty Jo Sprouse, as Rueben Nielson; Deloris Fredrickson, as Melvin Peterson: Wayne Timothy as Wilma Webb; Byron Gilbert as Virgie Murphy; Lowell Hall as Wanda Riggle; and Loya Benson Ben-son as Bob Andrews. The faculty was well portrayed in a comedy scene, except that a few of the characters were "greatly exaggerated." exag-gerated." A debate entitled "Should Women Be In Congress," proved interesting to everyone when Bob and Loya Benson argued the problem. The climax of the program was a group of Christmas carols sung by Gertrude Page Moysh, Marilyn Mar-ilyn Lambert, Audrey Smith and Sarah Colton, accompanied by Virginia Lambert. Tuesday during noon hour the Killpack Killers challenged Zir-kcr's Zir-kcr's Zeros to a basketball game. Boy, what a game! LaRell Jen-son Jen-son and Clint Nelson were high score men both made 9 points. 21 fouls were made, Bob Andrews An-drews being high score "foul-pitcher." "foul-pitcher." The game tied several times, but finished 19-16 in the Zeros' favor. Culminating a month of preparation prep-aration the school play, "We Shook the Family Tree," was presented to the high school Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 15 and to the general public Wednesday Wed-nesday night. The cast reports that a lot of fun was connected with the presentation pres-entation of the play, as well as many difficulties. Most of the actors were sorry to have it end but hoped the audience enjoyed it as much as they enjoyed presenting pre-senting it. JoAnn Gingell, reporter |
