Show internal Revenue Offers Tax Kelp The Bureau of Internal Revenue Rev-enue is reminding farmers, stockmen stock-men and farm laborers who received re-ceived $600 or more gross income in-come in 1948. that, they must file a Federal income tax return; Total income in the case of farmers and stockmen means the total amount derived from sale of farm produce or stock, the Internal In-ternal Revenue points out. To provide needed assistance to stockmen and farmers of the Roosevelt area, a Deputy Collector Col-lector will be at the Roosevelt Hotel, January 13 and 14 from 9 a. m. until 5 p. m. each day, to help tax payers in the preparation prep-aration of their returns. In conclusion the Internal Revenue Rev-enue called attention to the provision pro-vision requiring farmers or stockmen who have paid $600 or more in salaries, wages, rent or interest to make a report on Form 1096, accompanied by Form 1099, showing the names and addresses of persons to whom paid. |
