Show Mt. Emmons Peggy Ann Case Mr. and Mrs. Dee Holder and son, Craig, of Salt Lake, and Mr and Mrs. Garth Sargent and baby, of Coalville, spent a few days here with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Edgar Holder. Mr. Holder went to Salt Lake with them, where he is under a doctor's doc-tor's care. j Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Rust and Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd Powell and baby were guests on New Year s day of Mr. and Mrs. Anthon Rust, of Bluebell. Lorraine and Neal Dastrup entertained en-tertained at a watch party at the Dastrup home on New Years eve. Games were played and plenty of good things to eat were enjoyed while waiting for the appearance of the New Year. Mrs J. Edgar Holder and daughter, Betty, dined with Mr. and Mrs Harry Fieldsted, of Bo-neta, Bo-neta, New Year's day. Members of the Hansen family fam-ily gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Evan Hansen Friday evening to ring out the old and ring in the New Year. Others present included Mr. and Mrs. Lyndon Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Ned Mitchell and Mr. and Mrs. Her-shel Her-shel Iorg. The following night the same group ceieoraiuu u-Lyndon u-Lyndon home. Table games and good eats were enjoyed at both Mrand Mrs. Arnold Mecham, of Salt Lake Ci'.y, spent the weekend with Mrs. Ina Mecham and Mrs. Mary C. Snyder. After New Year's dinner at the Mecham Me-cham home Arnold and his wife and Mrs. Mecham and Jean went to Talmage for a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Leon Burton. Mrs. Mary C. Snyder came home Friday after spending the holidays in Pocatello with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs Erwin Ames, and her sons, Phil and Fred. Fred brought his mother home and returned to his work with the Kraft Cheese company com-pany on Sunday. Bryant and Parker Gomm and Glenn Case went as far as Logan with him where they will resume their studies at the U S A C. Colleen Orr spent the weekend in Salt Lake. While there she was a guest at the annual New Year's dinner given by the Uintah Uin-tah Freight Lines. James Owens, of Salt LaKe has been here during -the week supervising the repair work on the pipe line at the Moon Lake Electric power plant. Mr. Owens is a representative of the Armco Drainage and Metal Products CMr. and Mrs. E. W. Crosby attended at-tended the funeral services for Mrs Crosby's father Wm Lloyd, Sr. Saturday in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. George Rogers had all their family as guests at a New Year's dinner. Present were Mr. and Mrs John Rich-' Rich-' arris and baby daughter, of Mtn. Home, Mr. and Mrs. Kennetn Carrell and baby son, of Upalco. Mr. and Mrs. Neil Murray, of Myton, and Ray and Fay Rog- I erOne of the best entertainments of the season was the ward Gold and Green ball held Thursday night. Reynold's orchestra furnished furn-ished the music. Lorraine Dastrup Das-trup was crowned Queen, with Erwin attending her at Prince Charming. A beautiful floor show was presented by the M-Men M-Men and Gleaners. Miss Deane Case and Mrs. Edythe Hansen . had charge of this special feature. fea-ture. The dance was under the direction of George Mendennall and Eva Dean Crosby; officers of the MIA. |
