Show Licenses Required For Home Nurses Utah's Attorney deneral recently re-cently released an official opinion opin-ion clarifying the law regulating the licensure of practical nurses. According to the ruling all, except ex-cept a few exempt nurses in the state, who desire to practice as practical nurses after July 1, must be licensed. The state organization of practical prac-tical nurses, the Bureau of Home Nursing, urges all practical nurses nurs-es in Utah to apply for licenses without delay. The Attorney General ruled that a practical nurse who has proof of reasonable experience as a practical nurse for five years immediately prior to July 1, 1947 may be able to qualify for a license, li-cense, if application is submitted prior to July 1, 1949. The Home Nursing Bureau, reviewing the opinion, emphasizes empha-sizes the importance of having all qualified practical nurses obtain ob-tain a license under the waiver provision of the present law. Nurses concerned may obtain license applications by calling or writing the Bureau of Business Regulation, State Capitol, Salt Lake City, and requesting application appli-cation forms by mail. |
