Show Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Cook of Duchesne were Roosevelt visitors visi-tors Saturday. Mrs. Parley Lambert spent a few days in Salt Lake the first part of the week. Mrs. Carlyle Reynolds and daughter, LaVar and VeLoy returned, re-turned, last week from California Californ-ia where they had been visiting. Mr. and Mrs. Homer P. Edwards Ed-wards spent Sunday in Duchesne visiting their children. Mr. and Mrs. Clem Labrum and Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Cook. Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Schmiett spent last week end at the Ash-ton Ash-ton Cabin in Uintah canyon. They went to Salt Lake Wednesday Wednes-day morning. Mrs. A. E. Edwards of Myton was in Roosevelt Wednesday transacting business. Mrs. Edwards Ed-wards has gone to Las Vegas, Nevada to visit with her son and family. Mrs. Eva Hamilton of Dell, California, is spending the week visiting here with her mother, Mrs. Sarah A. Smith and sisters, Esther Lambert and Tina Wil-kins. Wil-kins. Miss Barbara Taylor of Salt Lake City spent the week end visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Taylor. Barbara Bar-bara is taking Cadet Nruse's training. Hazel Manwaring is spending her vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Manwaring in i Ballard. She expects to return re-turn to Logan where she will teach school this coming year. Miles Nelson, the little grandson grand-son of Mr. and Mrs. Homer P. Edwards who has been visiting at their home this summer, returned re-turned to his home in Bingham Canyon Saturday. Miss Maisie Long and Miss Bernice Liechty who has been visiting in Roosevelt the past three weeks went to Provo Monday, Mon-day, Miss Long will spend some time there visiting. Mrs. Alice Dringman of Los Angeles, California is visiting this week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clair Labrum. Mrs. Dringham is a sister of Mr. Labrum. Lab-rum. Mr. and Mrs. L. T. Wright of Salt Lake City spent the past week end at the Harrison cabin in Uintah canyon. Mrs. Wright is a sister of Mrs. Wm. H. Rup-pel Rup-pel and Mrs. George H. Harrison. Harri-son. Mrs, Walt C. Baxter and son Clyde W., returned home Monday Mon-day after spending the past three months visiting with Mr. Baxter's Bax-ter's mother and other relatives in Provo. Mr. Baxter is stationed sta-tioned somewhere in France with the U S Army. Clifford Baily and son Jay of Provo, Utah were week end guests of Jack Harmston on a fishing trip at Brown Duck and Island Lake. They report a very successful trip. Jack and Jay were school chums at Wasatch Academy last year. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Morrill and two of their children from Farmington, visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Bracken at Alterra Wednesday. Mr. Mor-ril Mor-ril was the first principal of the Alterra High school, and is now at the head of the School Hot Lunch project of Utah. Mrs. Morrill is an instructor at the Kaysville High school. |
