Word was received that Ivan Turner, a former resident of Lapoint, La-point, had died of a heart attack at-tack in Los Angeles on Friday. His son, Harlan and daughter, Mrs. Iva Chandler of Randlett left Saturday to attend the funeral. fun-eral. Lela Hacking, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hacking of Roosevelt visited her garndpar-ents, garndpar-ents, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Hacking Hack-ing and other relatives here during dur-ing the week. Russel Harrison and daughter, Evelyn of Salt Lake City were visitors in Lapoint last week. Elna Bodily, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Bodily had her tonsils removed Thursday at Vernal. Mrs. Zora Marshall and children chil-dren of Fresno, California are visiting her sister, Mrs. Ethel Taylor and family. They were former residents of Lapoint. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Huber purchased pur-chased the Elroy Norton home from George Bigelow. Mrs. Roxa Taylor is going to live there. Mr. and Mrs. Ray White and children of Vernal visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Horrocks and other relatives here on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Thad Merkley and children of Vernal visited his grand mother, Mrs. Annie Warburton on Sunday. Lapoint 4-H club was held at the home of Geraldine Harrison and Barbara Nyberg during the week. Apricot and apple dumplings dump-lings were made and demonstrated.. demonstra-ted.. Miss Jessie Mecham, supervisor' super-visor' of the 4-H clubs of Vernal was present. Mrs. E. C. Hair, Kenneth and LaDon Perry of Vernal accompanied accom-panied George Bigelow to Salt Lake City on Sunday.
