RETURNS FROM FURLOUGH (MA wM I Chall Allred "Ty" Kolb I Technical Sergeant Chall Al-I Al-I lred, son of Mr. and Mrs. H, L. Allred spent a few days furlough here, returning to Camp Polk, ; Louisiana Sunday, August 13th. ! T-Sgt. Allred was first stationed at Camp Carson, Colorado in the U S Army. He was accompanied here by Miss Margaret James of Jackson, Wyoming. IN THE ARMY Pvt. Tawannee "Ty" Kolb, u who for the past seven months Shas been serving in the U S Signal Sig-nal Corp recently visited a few days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Donal I. Kolb at Fort Duchesne. Du-chesne. He received his basic training at Camp Kohler," California, Cali-fornia, and was then transferred transfer-red to Camp Crowder, Missouri, where he received special training train-ing in Auto Mechanics. He left here July 17th for Camp Kohler for assignment. Mrs. Alora Kolb and son, Don E. accompanied him. VISITS FRIENDS Private Max Owen who has been stationed at Camp Roberts, California with the Field Artillery Artil-lery division since his induction jn the U. S. Army last April, is home this week visiting with his wife and his mother, Mrs. Keva Owen. Pvt. Owen will leave Tuesday to report at Ogden Og-den and then will be transferred to Little Rock, Arkansas. Mr. and Mrs. Owen spent Monday J and Tuesday visiting friends and relatives in Salt Lake City and Provo. He states he hti tWn he first troops to land 10 Enaiyn has been stationed "ttnths and the Past eifiht J RECEIVES WORE FROM SON Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Harm-ston Harm-ston received a card from their son, 1st Lieutenant Howard Harmston Tuesday. The card was dated June 6th, he stated he was well, eating O K and feeling fine. He is at Stalag Luft, 3, a German prison camp. Ma Pa. . IN THE NAVY Harold Harris has been advanced ad-vanced to S K 3-c from Seamon 1-c. recently. He is with the U S Navy somewhere overseas. He has a brother, Kenneth also in the Navy, who is now going to school in New York. They are the sons of Leonard Harris of Myton. IN MEDICAL CORP Pfc. Ted Phillips, son of Mr. and Mrs. Theo Phillips is now stationed in the Medical corp at New Guinea. He writes home that he is enjoying his work very much. |
