Show isssxsKsx5sxsxaxssi ALTONAH (Mrs. Ethel Beebe) SSSGsSSSCS&3 Mrs. LaRetta Young of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Don Levatt of Redlands, California visited a few days last week at the home of their son and brother, broth-er, William Y.oung. Mr; and Mrs. Wilford Shiner and family, of Kemmerer, Wyoming, Wy-oming, visited with relatives and friends several days last week. The Shriners moved from Altonah Alton-ah to Wyoming last spring. Mrs. Dallas Ames, Mrs. Grace Agneu and daughter, and Robert Rob-ert Johanson left Monday morning morn-ing to visit their father, Leo Johanson, Jo-hanson, in Hagerman, Idaho. Dr. J. D. Winward, state veterinarian vet-erinarian was in Altonah last week testing milch cows for T. B. Mrs. Mary Lou Jessen and daughter, Judy, of Salt Lake City are visiting with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Austin Beebe, for a few days. Warren Beebe was seriously hurt when his horse fell with him Sunday, cracking his pelvic bone. He was taken to the Roosevelt Roose-velt hospital for treatment. The Primary officers gave a children's dance Wednesday afternoon. af-ternoon. Ted Burke, of Vernal, accompanied accom-panied Calder's ice cream truck to Altonah, Wednesday. Lyle Cole went to Kemmerer, Wyoming with Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Shiner, Wednesday. County Agent Emer Broad-bent Broad-bent of Roosevelt, was an Altonah Alton-ah visitor Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Snyder and family and Mrs. Clarence Smith and daughter, Barbara, spent several days during the week visiting, relatives n Provo. The Snyders left Saturday for their home in California after spending three weeks visiting relatives here. Mrs. Jerold Jac-obsen Jac-obsen and daughter, Jane, accompanied ac-companied them to California, where they will visit for a time, William Ostler of Roosevelt was in town on business Thursday. Thurs-day. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Reay were transacting business in Roosevelt Roose-velt and Duchesne Saturday. Lynn Farnsworth accompanied them to see his wife and daughter. daugh-ter. Donna, in Duchesne. Donna is receiving medical care there. Asey Kofford, son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Kofford, was taken to the Roosevelt hospital Thursday Thurs-day with pneumonia. Mrs. George Berrett, Jr. returned re-turned from Salt Lake City Friday, Fri-day, where she has been living to be near her husband who has been stationed at Camp Kearns. Pfc. George Berrett was sent to Seattle, Washington and from there to Japan. Ralph Brown's mother from Provo is visiting her son and daughter-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Lucas were Roosevelt visitors Friday, Mrs. Grace Agneu and daughter daugh-ter left Friday for their home in Brewster, Kansas after visiting with her sister, Mrs. Dallas Ames. Miss Helen Davis, of Idaho, is here staying with her sister, Mrs. Tuff Reay. Miss Nada Maxfield, who is employed in Salt Lake City, spent the weekend with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Linford Maxfield. A group of Boy Scouts went on an outing on Petty mountain for a few days during the week. Scoutmasters Linford and Claud Murray accompanied them. |
