Show NEEDED improvements there is no time like the present to get at a few much needed improvements which can be made before the farms are in a fit condition to be worked one of the first things that needs tho the attention of this community is the graveyard its condition is a reproach to a county seat town the size of randolph a town that has leen settled twenty seven years A new fence should be put around the graveyard the sagebrush grubbed out a good wagon road made leading direct to the gate and water brought fi aiom out little creek to irrigate it so that the graves of the loved ones gone before can be planted with trees I 1 grass and flowers and made beautiful to the eyes of those who have dear ones buried there or who look upon it as their last resting place in this life to say there is danger of polluting the towns drinking water by irrigating the graveyard is bosh and untrue tile the distance between the graveyard and the nearest wel wells Is to it being sufficient chent to purify it the public square should be taken in hand this spring and made a fit place for the children to play water should be secured trees planted and t the he land leveled and planted to white clover the cost would be little and the labor light if the people made a united effort think of the many happy hours the children would have during the summertime playing upon a fine sward of whits white clover and then think of how much it would improve in tie appearance of the town to have a decent public square on its main street instead of the disreputable looking piece of ground it is at present and after thinking about it att to with a will to accomplish a change the man who leaves this world without having done something to beautify it and make it better for those he leaves behind has been derelict to his duty besides these things there are improvements prove ments which can be made about the home such as making your sidewalks what the name implies a place fit to valk upon repairing fences and fixing gates so that they open inwards planting trees make the barns and out buildings sightly instead of rambling shacks to sum up mab make e the place you inhabit deserving deservi og of the name of home in every respect |
